Building Permits

  • Assessment of plans and documentation for compliance against the BCA (Building Code of Australia) and relevant NCC (National Construction Code)
  • Issue of Building Permit
  • Undertake all mandatory inspections at relevant stages of construction
  • Issue of Occupancy Permit/Final Certificate upon completion of works

Town Planning

  • Determination of whether a planning permit is required
  • Assessment of proposal against the relevant planning scheme

Essential Safety Measures (ESM’s)

  • Inspection and audit of buildings to advise what ESM’s are required to be installed
  • Preparation of maintenance determination identifying ESM’s relevant to a building and their required inspection frequencies (as part of the Building Permit process)
  • Preparation of ESM maintenance manuals
  • Annual ESM reports

Owner Builder Reports

  • Onsite inspection and preparation of owner builder report
  • Identifying any defects in the building work and recommendations for rectification
  • Required if you are selling your home and completed works as an owner builder


NCC Audits/Building Compliance Advice 

  • Onsite inspection and assessment of buildings or designs for compliance against the National Construction Code
  • Preparation of report identifying any areas of non-compliance and recommendations for rectification
  • Comprehensive review of documentation early in the construction phase against the BCA (Building Code of Australia) and relevant construction codes
  • Provide advice regarding any non-compliance issues
  • Preparation and lodgement of Report and Consent for any items that do not meet regulations

Swimming Pool Compliance Inspections

The Victorian Government mandated that swimming pools in Victoria must be inspected every 4 years to ensure the pool safety barrier is compliant.

 

  • Onsite inspection of swimming pool and safety barrier
  • Preparation of report detailing compliance, or non-compliance
  • Provide advice to owner on any non-compliant items and provide practical solutions for rectification
  • Preparation of Certificate of Compliance for owner to lodge with Council and be logged on the swimming pool compliance register 

Liquor Licence

  • Liaison with client to determine appropriate licence type
  • Preparation and lodgement of planning application for liquor licence, including lodgement of red line plan
  • Liaison with Liquor Consultant throughout application, as required

Illegal Works

  • Onsite inspection and assessment of illegal building works
  • Preparation of report for lodgement with Council, including recommendations for rectification
  • Arrange withdrawal of Building Notice/Order served by Council if works are deemed to be compliant
